Meeting with Scratch

Flamepelt was walked on the shore of a stream. He looked at his reflection in the water. He heard a branch snap. He looked up and saw Scratch. "Scratch?" "Yes it is me." Scratch said. "Well, why are you here?" Scratch's head dropped. "I need to see Rainstar. No, I need Rainstar." He said. "Why yes of course you may see her." Flamepelt dipped his head and crossed the river. "Do you know?" "Know what?" Scratch asked confused. "Rainstar is expecting kits. Your kits." A tear ran down his eye. "Were going to have kits." Scratch jumped into the air for joy. "Wow." Flamepelt said laughing. When they got to the camp. Flamepelt looked around for Rainstar. He went into the Leader Den and found her. "Hey Rainstar I think there is someone here to see you." Scratch entered the den.

Rainstar was eating. When Flamepelt came in, she hardly looked up. When a new cat entered, she did a double take. She ran up to Scratch and licked his whole face. "Oh, Thank Starclan" she said breathlessly. "I have so much to tell you" she added, not even saying hello to Flamepelt.

Flamepelt smiled from her excitement. Flamepelt sat down by the entrance. Scratch sat down next to Rainstar giving her a lick too. "I'm sorry I left." He said. "I didn't know I loved you that much." His head feel. "I heard your going to have kits."

Rainstar gave Flamepelt a dangerous look. "That's right" she said. "And they're yours". She gently licked his head.

Scratch smiled at Rainstar. "I know and I also know they are going to be great warriors." Scratch licked her muzzle. "I have decided to stay."

"What?" she said, looking taken aback. "You're- you're staying?"

Scratch looked confused. "Don't you want me to stay?" said Scratch.

IC: "I do" she said hurriedly. "But why are you staying? When you first came here, I got the impression that you didn't like our way of life"

Scratch smiled. "If it's with you. It is the best life ever." He leaned into her a little.

Rainstar purred and leaned into him, so that they were holding each other up.

Flamepelt smiled. "I'll leave you guys alone." He dipped his head anf left. Scratch purred too.

Rainstar muttered a sleepy goodbye to Flamepelt, then nuzzled under Scratch's chin. She was glad to see him again.

Scratch smiled and purred some more. He soon feel alseep.

Rainstar felt him slump in sleep on her. She got up carefully, then left her den. She went for a walk in the forest.
